How is the Associate Program different from on line Affiliate Programs?
Most on line affiliate formats require a link and/or banner to be placed on the affiliate's web site enabling visitors to "click-through" to another site in which purchases can be made.  Commissions or bonuses are earned on each purchase.  The "click-through" component is the affiliate's identity transport mechanism allowing financial transactions to be attributed to the affliate's referral.  The downside for the affiliate is that web site visitors do not usually patronize a web site on a first or second visit.  Visitors, however, are likely to bookmark the newly found site and bypass the affiliate when ready to spend money.  The affiliate loses out, very unfairly, on any commissions regardless of the efforts made to promote such web sites.

McCann & Cambrian has replaced the "click-through" component with the ARN.  Associate Members can promote our services through an unlimited number of means.  There is no prerequisite for an Associate to maintain a web site or even have Internet access!  Marketing and promotion of our services can be done in-store, in person, through local media and print.  The affiliate provides interested individuals with his/her ARN.  When we are contacted by the individual we will ask for an ARN.  Providing an ARN entitles this new customer to a special discount as well.  For more ideas on promotion and how McCann & Cambrian works with its members, see Associate Marketing.
