May I Have Your Attention Please
Managing for increased traffic to your web site can be achieved both on line and off line and in ways limited only by your creativity and imagination.  Knowing and understanding your target market is paramount to developing a marketing strategy.  Here's an idea to combine on line marketing with more traditional or conventional marketing practices!

Consider a Teaser Vanity Domain Name to get the attention of your market!  Although thousands of domain names are registered daily, registrants tend to look for short, simple but indicative domain names for permanent use.  Whereas a Teaser Domain can and should be longer, resembling a creative and attention-grabbing phrase - something that will peak the mind's curiosity - and something that is conducive for easy recall.  These Teaser Domain Names then become the focus of an advertising campaign, anything from newspaper classified or display ads, radio or printed material like business cards left strategically in public areas, or for distribution at trade shows or direct mailing.

Typically, your web host provider would set these Teaser Domain Names to point to your main site, or a special page on your site with your campaign follow up.  At McCann & Cambrian, our policy is never to charge extra for two or more domain names pointing to the same site.  Teaser Vanity Domain Names are generally not set up to handle e-mail aliases.  The long term goal is to acquire increased traffic and like many marketing campaigns, your Teaser Domain may only be required temporarily.

Some examples?
A gym and fitness centre may use a Teaser Domain Name like
DontWaitToDropTheWeight.com; a fast food establishment may have a special campaign to introduce a new menu item and use this Teaser,  FastFoodTooGoodToRush.com; someone selling investments or turnkey businesses may consider the Teaser Domain, EasierThanPrintingMoney.com; and if you sell fishing gear or guided tours, this Teaser,
ThingsGoBetterWithFishing.com is easy catchy and curious.

Your printed material should spell out Teaser Domain Names in an easy to read format making use of capital letters to start each word and if possible various colours.

Finally, remember that your message, product or service must live up to your Teaser's message or implication.  After working hard to get the attention of your web visitor, you don't want to leave them disappointed.
